Tuning a Djembe Drum

Moving up a Row----The first seven pictures Put the end of the rope behind the beginning of that row. Make Sure and go behind the first rope which will set you up for your next diamond. These are your next two ropes that will be involved for making a diamond. Go over the ropes and then back up between them. Then, go behind both ropes If done correctly, when pulled, the ropes should flip over each other and hold in place. I use a Hand Cleat for pulling Diamonds. Wrapping around a stick can also work. Do not try to pull the diamond straight on. Turning the drum so you pull at a sideways angle gives you better leverage.

Pulling diamonds for Tuning----The last three pictures.

The next two ropes will be involved for creating a Diamond. Over both and up between the two. Then behind both and Pull till it snaps over itself.
